A Roaring Statement

"This world without leopard... I mean, who would want to be here?" Diana Vreeland

Leopard print has long been hailed an eternal symbol of femininity and uninhibited sensuality. It is often lurking at the back of AW trends, with it's classic brown tones screaming Autumn styling. However, this year Paris Fashion Week saw it take centre stage and all manner of articles, journals and fashion posts have given it a coveted spot in the AW14/15 Top Ten Trends.

There is a palette to suit all manner of outfits, from traditional rendering and gray-scale to more adventurous hues such as the alternative navy featured at Next.

From high fashion to high street there is no escaping its presence. This designer's favourite was seen in up and down the catwalks in all four fashion capitals appearing in all types of shapes and cuts from a sumptuous coat at Celine to a cute babydoll at Chloe and the print proved the perfect topping to an eclectic mix at Givenchy.

What is particularly great about this print is that it is the essence of flirty and feminine in itself, so you can still look both glamourous and amorous without tight bodycons or showing a great deal of skin, making it ideal if you feel more comfortable with more chest coverage.

Statement coats are huge this upcoming season and this long line blazer from Next is a clear winner at £65.

Popular highstreet brand Zara certainly know what they're doing with these fabulous trousers, and a steal at £15.99. With such a busy print, all the attention is on your lower half and and gives you the opportunity to style simplistically with more upper body coverage.

This A-line skirt from Whistles is on key with its simplistic shape and the higher waist, above the knee cut is both highly flattering, flirty yet still modest. What could be considered a possibly non descript shape has been completely vamped up thanks to the leopard print and statement zip detail.

If you're feeling a little self conscious, a pretty scarf can be the perfect accessory. This luxe leopard print one from Jigsaw will be your best friend in making simple outfit more fiery and made from pure wool, a perfect comfort. What I particularly love about this French Leopard Scarf is the trim. Leopard print in itself is a bold choice, and the idea of mixing pink, purple and orange may see absurd. However, Jigsaw have done it in such simplistic colour-pop way that plays straight in to the colour block trend with this contrast border.

If you're lucky enough to be heading on holiday, or are somewhere the sun is shining, you could try adding some glam to your beachwear with a leopard print kaftan.

There's no doubt about how stunning this 100% silk Versace number is, however the £458 price tag is not to everyone's taste!

But you don't need to spend a fortune to feel great, and this one from JD Williams for £42 is just as gorgeous.
